Incident Report – November 2022

 

  • 01/11/2022 20:00pm – Callaway Park

The Protek response team were dispatched to a B&B after a panic signal was received. Enroute, the clients called to say the panic had been pressed in error.

It was then reported that there actually had been a robbery by five armed men who had beaten a staff member and forced them to retract the panic signal before making off with a phone and a wallet.

 

  • 04/11/2022 06:00am – Eagle Street

 

Response were patrolling in town when a retail guard informed them of a break in at a store.

We confirmed the break in and that SAPS were in attendance.

 

 

  • 04/11/2022 02:33am – Khayamajola

 

A guard at a sports ground was robbed of his phone and wallet by four armed men.

 

 

  • 06/11/2022 16:12pm – Southernwood

 

Multiple panics signals were received from a supermarket where it was reported that men were fighting outside of the store. There was no damage to the shop.

 

  • 07/22/2022 09:07am – Mount Ayliff

 

A client reported a break in at an appliance shop when they opened up. The intruders had gained access via a window and disabled the alarm before taking stock and cash.

 

  • 09/11/2022 12:45pm – Callaway

 

Panic signals were received from a warehouse and the client reported a delivery truck was being robbed. The response team discovered the suspects had fled with a cover for the truck.

 

  • 10/11/2022 07:44am – Fortgale

 

A break in was reported at a residence. While the client took her child to school, she did not arm the alarm and returned to find her garage door party open. Tools and a spare wheel were taken.

 

  • 13/11/2022 12:36pm – Circus Triangle

 

A panic signal was received from a shop and the response team dispatched. It was reported that two suspects had fled with liquor.

 

  • 19/11/2022 – Norwood

 

A customer stole money from the counter top at a fast-food outlet.

 

  • 21/11/2022 07:29am – Sutherland Street

 

An outside security company reported a positive break in at a bank. The intruders had gained access via the roof and damaged the ATM’s. Nothing was stolen.

 

  • 22/11/2022 – Slovo Park

 

Multiple alarm activations were received from a business and whilst response were enroute, the client called to confirm intruders on site. The suspects managed to flee with tills and alcohol.

 

  • 22/11/2022 23:16pm – Kuyasa Township

 

Response reacted to a panic signal from a residence. On arrival they were informed the copper pipes had been stolen outside.

 

  • 23/11/2022 01:38am – Southernwood Green

 

A client reported the copper pipes having been stolen from their residence.

 

  • 23/11/2022 14:49pm – Delville Road

 

A client reported that her garage had been broken into and tools stolen. The alarm had not been armed.

 

  • 24/11/2023 05:21am – Southridge Park

 

An outside security company reported an alarm activation from a communications business. The Protek team responded and found the wall damaged and equipment container in disarray.

 

  • 28/11/2023 17:30pm – Madeira Street

 

A business client reported intruders on the roof. All response were dispatched and they caught a suspect who was handed over to SAPS.

 

  • 28/11/2022 19:41pm – Ikwezi Township

 

An alarm activation was received from a Technical Skills Centre. The client confirmed that intruders had stolen computers from the lab.
