  • 02/05/2022 13:07 PM – Southernwood

The Protek response team responded to a panic signal at a business where there had been an attempted break in. The intruders had cut a hole in the fence and forced the window but did not gain access.

 

  • 02/05/2022 – Sprigg Street

 

4 armed suspects held up a fast-food outlet and robbed the tills of cash. SAPS were in attendance.

 

  • 05/05/2022 08:26am – Owen Street

 

The client called from a business to report an attempted break in, a window had been broken but no access gained.

 

  • 05/05/2022 13:22pm – Mandela Park

 

Response reacted to an alarm signal at a residence. On arrival they found the garage door open and informed the client who later confirmed a grass cutting machine had been stolen.

The Protek response team responded to a panic from a client who had heard a noise outside their house. On arrival it was discovered their vehicle had been stolen. Response searched the area and recovered the abandoned vehicle from a nearby dam.

A guard at a school saw a group of boys stealing an outside light and pressed the panic button.

The boys then fled.

Control received multiple panics from a cash & carry and dispatched the response team.

On arrival they were informed that a lone security guard, travelling without an escort had been disarmed and robbed after collecting cash from the store.

 

  • 10/05/2022 13:37pm – Ikwesi Township

 

Response reacted to multiple signals and discovered a break in at a residence. Intruders had forced the security gate and broken the back door in.

Our supervisor patrolled the area and caught a suspect with a TV in the street who then confessed to having broken into the house along with an accomplice who had fled.

A client called to report a break in at a business the previous night, the intruders had gained access through the roof into the office. They broke into the safe and stole cash and stock. The guard from the neighbouring business stated the incident had taken place in the early hours of the morning with the guard being held hostage.

4 men robbed a courier van offloading boxes outside an Attorney’s office.

 

  • 11/05/2022 13:36pm – Ngebs Mall

 

5 armed men robbed a man of an undisclosed sum of cash in the basement and fled in a Toyota Etios.

 

  • 12/05/2022 13:32pm – King Edward Road

 

An outside security company reported a panic signal from a business. Our armed response team were dispatched and informed there had been a robbery. 2 armed men had forced the manager into the office and demanded money but as the cash had already been banked for the day, nothing was taken.

 

  • 15/05/2022 19:11pm – Ngolo Location

 

A panic signal was received from a business with the client reporting intruders onsite. The Protek response team responded but were informed the intruders had fled after demanding cash, cigarettes and airtime at gun point.

 

  • 16/05/2022 22:25 pm – Madeira Street

 

An outside security company called to report an alarm activation at a bank. On arrival, response discovered that the front door was unlocked. We informed the outside security company and they dispatched a guard for the night.

 

  • 16/05/2022 23:00pm – Kuyasa Township

 

A student reported intruders at a residence. On arrival, response were informed that the intruders had forced the guard room door open and demanded keys to the residence. The intruders had left and no one was injured.

 

  • 20/05/2022 00:54am – Tabase

 

Control received panic signals from a shop and the Protek team were dispatched. They were informed that intruders cut the locks and forced the door making off with cash, cigarettes and airtime.

 

  • 21/05/2022 09:41am – Circus Triangle

 

4 suspects robbed a man of cash which he was on his way to deposit at the bank.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • 25/05/2022 05:34am – Southernwood

 

A client called for the response team at a guest house and informed them that there had been a break in. After gaining access via the back gate, intruders had stolen parts from a truck that was parked on the premises. No alarm activation had been received.

 

  • 25/05/2022 17:58 – York Road

 

A security guard was robbed outside a bottle store after collecting the cash, he was not injured but the money was taken.

 

  • 27/05/2022 07:10am – Waterfall Park

 

The principal from a Senior Primary School reported there had been a break in with intruders gaining access after bending the security bars and breaking a window. The school was robbed off groceries, a gas cylinder and a wheel barrow.

 

  • 27/05/2022 19:00pm – Owen Street

 

The Protek response team reacted to a panic signal from a bottle store. On arrival the staff informed them that 3 armed men had taken cash from the tills and expensive bottles of Liquor.

 

  • 27/05/2022 20:13pm -Lurhasini

 

The key holder was called after an illegal opening signal from a business. They reported that the tills had been emptied, SAPS were contacted.

 

  • 28/05/2022 01:07am – Fortgale

 

A positive break in was reported by clients at a residence. They had not armed their alarm whilst quickly going to a nearby shop and had returned to intruders having stolen cell phones, a chain saw and a grinder.

 

  • 30/05/2022 01:37am – Mbuqe Park

 

After receiving multiple signals from a butchery, all response were dispatched. The security guard was not answering his phone which was unusual, the client was called to check the cameras and he reported back that although there was no one in the building a door was open. Some of our team spread out around the neighbourhood with others remaining at the business where the guard appeared saying he had been held hostage in nearby bushes. It was confirmed that the intruders had stolen a laptop and food items. SAPS were informed.

 

  • 30/05/2022 05:40am – Viedgesville

 

Control called the security guard at a bottle store after receiving an alarm activation. The guard confirmed that suspects had stolen cases of Amajuba from a side building.

A security van was hijacked outside a bottle store.
