  • 01/03/2023 02:19am – Southernwood

Panic signals were received from a residence when the clients heard a noise. A bag of copper piping was found by the response team.

 

  • 01/03/2023 14:11pm – Zimbane

Plastic pipes were stolen from a school.

 

  • 02/03/2023 14:11pm – Ngeleni

Panic signals were received from a Trading Store and the client confirmed an attempted robbery. The staff chased the robbers away.

 

  • 03/03/2023 03:33am – Libode

An alarm activation was received from a fuel station. The keyholders were contacted and they said the power was returning after loadshedding. Another signal was received and the guards reported seeing people leaving the store. It was confirmed that a computer had been stolen.

 

  • 06/03/2023 08:46am – Southernwood

Intruders stole copper piping from outside a residence. They did not gain access to the house.

 

  • 08/03/2023 04:43am – Fortgale

Clients reported that a generator battery had been stolen from a fuel station.

 

  • 08/03/2023 09:12am – Southernwood

Client reported that copper piping was stolen from outside a care centre, there is no outdoor protection on that area.

 

  • 09/03/2023 11:09am – Lowry Street

A client called from an attorneys’ office reporting a burglary. Response went to investigate and found that access had been gained via a back window. A laptop and other goods were stolen.

 

 

  • 11/03/2023 20:12pm – Zimbane

A robbery in progress was reported at grocery store. On arrival, response were informed that the suspects had fled in the store’s Isuzu van. The vehicle was later recovered undamaged.

 

  • 14/03/2023 11:28 – Qunu

Panic signals were received from a bottle store. The keyholder confirmed a robbery in progress and response were dispatched. On arrival they were informed that 8 armed suspects had fled with boxes of liquor. SAPS were informed.

 

  • 15/03/2023 12:51pm – Willowvale

An alarm signal was received from a fast-food outlet. On contact the clients reported that the generator battery had been stolen the previous night.

 

  • 15/03/2023 08:05am – Cement Road

Client reported a burglary at a business the previous night when a water pump was stolen. The alarm had not been set.

 

  • 15/03/2023 14:59pm – Nelson Mandela Drive

A robbery in progress was called in from a car dealership. All teams were dispatched and on arrival were informed the suspects had robbed customers on the forecourt before they fled. Response searched the area and caught one suspect who was handed over to SAPS.

 

  • 17/03/2023 11:50am – Vulindlela Heights

Panic signals were received from a courier firm and response were informed that 8 armed men had made off with laptops, phones, and a generator. SAPS were informed

 

  • 19/03/2023 18:30pm – Fortgale

Intruders entered a home via a window and stole a phone and a laptop. The residents were at home and the alarm was not armed.

 

  • 21/03/2023 15:06pm – Ngangelizwe

A generator battery was stolen from a church.

 

  • 21/03/2023 06:00am – Madeira Street

 

After receiving signals from an Attorney’s office, response confirmed a positive break in. The door had been forced but the client stated nothing had been taken.

 

  • 23/03/2023 05:17am – Southernwood

A panic signal was received from a residence where the client informed the Protek team that a vehicle had been stolen from the yard.

 

  • 23/03/2023 13:34pm – York Road

A panic signal was received from a clothing store who reported that 5 armed suspects had emptied the tills and fled. SAPS were informed.

 

  • 23/03/2023 – Elliot Street

A call was received from a clothing store who reported that armed suspects took cash from the tills and fled. SAPS were informed.

 

  • 23/03/2023 23:57pm – Hillcrest extension

3 slabs were stolen from a Donkin wall causing it to collapse.

 

  • 25/03/2023 15:56pm – Southernwood

An alarm activation was received from a residence where copper piping had been stolen.

 

  • 25/03/2023 – Victoria Street

Response noticed copper piping had been stolen from a school and informed the client.

 

  • 26/03/2023 03:15am – Madeira Street

Whilst responding to another alarm, the Protek team noticed the door of a fast-food outlet was open. They stood guard until the keyholder arrived. It was confirmed the door had been accidently left open and it was not a break in.

 

  • 26/03/2023 09:50am – Lowry Street

A window was found open with the security bars bent at an Attorney’s office. The owner was informed.

 

  • 27/03/2023 14:01pm – York Road

An armed robbery occurred at a clothing store. The suspects fled with cash from the tills.

 

  • 27/03/2023 10:50am – Circus Triangle

Card scammers robbed an ATM customer. Complex security apprehended them and handed them over to SAPS.

 

  • 31/03/2023 04:32AM – Ngangelizwe

A panic signal was received from a church and response were dispatched. On arrival the guards were informed that copper thieves has attempted to steal the piping.

 

29) 31/03/2023 07:08am – Hospital Road

Copper piping was stolen from a residence.

 

30) 31/03/2023 13:07pm – York Road

The Protek Team were dispatched after a panic signal was received from a clothing store.Armed suspects had fled with cash from the tills.

 

31) 31/03/2023 14:17pm – Circus Triangle

A panic signal was received from an outside security company and whilst response were enroute, the client reported an armed robbery in progress at a store. More teams were dispatched along with SAPS. The suspects fled with cash from the tills.

 

32) 31/03/2023 21:06pm – Ngebs Mall

Security guards chased copper thieves who were attempting to remove piping form the aircon units.
