  • 01/07/2023 12:18pm – Cnr Bridge & Harrow Streets

Cash was stolen from the till of a supermarket during a robbery.

 

  • 03/07/2023 09:42am – Mount Frere

Client reported a burglary from a fast-food outlet. The cameras and alarm had been damaged and the takings stolen.

 

  • 04/07/2023 21:06pm – Qumbu

Multiple alarms were received from a hotel and the keyholders and guard were contacted along with SAPS. The keyholder confirmed a customer had been locked inside the building.

 

  • 04/07/2023 08:33am – Mbuqe Extension

A client’s neighbour called to report copper piping had been stolen from her residence whilst she was out.

 

  • 06/07/2023 22:18pm – Mqanduli

Multiple signals were received from a furniture shop. The keyholder and SAPS were called. The client later confirmed a burglary.

 

  • 12/07/2023 13:29pm – Callaway Road

Panic signals were received from a builder’s store and the Protek team responded. They were informed that armed men had made off with 8 aluminium doors, five of which were recovered nearby.

 

  • 12/07/2023 18:12pm – New Payne

An alarm activation was received from a tavern. The client confirmed the door had been forced and the tv had been stolen.

 

  • 14/07/2023 12:05pm – Elliot Street

An outside security company reported panic signals from a furniture store and the Protek team were dispatched. On arrival they were informed by staff that the shop next door had been robbed of cash and appliances by seven armed men.

  • 16/07/2023 11:55am – Madeira Street

An outside security company reported a panic signal from a clothing shop. On arrival the response team were informed that cash had been stolen from the till.

 

  • 16/07/2023 11:55am – Ngebs Mall

Panic signals were received from a shoe shop and the response team were dispatched. It was reported that three armed men had forced the staff to the back of the shop before fleeing with cash and high-end shoes.

 

  • 16/07/2023 16:26pm – Chatam Street

A fast-food outlet was robbed of cash by 2 armed men.

 

  • 17/07/2023 15:48pm – Madeira Street

A builder’s store was robbed of cash by four armed men.

 

  • 17/07/2023 18:52pm – Sutherland Street

A call was received asking for response to be dispatched to a bottle store. On arrival, they were informed that an armed man had threatened staff and made off with cash from the till.

 

  • 17/07/2023 18:58pm – Elliot Street

A client reported a fast-food outlet having been robbed of cash after staff were threatened by two armed men.

 

  • 21/07/2023 13:46pm – Bridge Street

An outside security company reported an armed robbery at a clothing shop. The Protek Team were dispatched and were informed that the thieves had fled with cash.

 

  • 22/07/2023 22:13pm – Sutherland Street

Response were out on patrol and stopped at a fuel station to buy refreshments when they were informed they had just been robbed of cash.

 

  • 24/07/2023 04:36am – Cnr Elliot & Sprigg Street

An outside security company reported multiple signals from a furniture store. Response checked and could see no sign of intrusion. On a later patrol, they noticed the burglar bar was now bent and contacted the keyholder to open the shop. It was found that intruders had entered via the roof and exited via the front door with stock.

 

  • 25/07/2023 04:04am – Cumberland Street

Alarm signals were received from an office and response discovered intruders had forced the security gate and door open. The client confirmed that laptops and other goods had been stolen.

 

  • 27/07/2023 05:42am – Ikwezi Township

Response were dispatched to a residence after a client reported an intruder. The suspect had stolen an outside light.

 

  • 27/07/2023 13:19pm – Southernwood

A client requested that a response team accompany her into her residence as she suspected something was wrong. The Protek team discovered her door had been forced and the intruders had stolen a tv and shoes.

 

  • 28/07/2023 05:00am – Libode

A panic signal was received from a warehouse and the guard was contacted. He confirmed that an intruder had stolen copper piping.

 

  • 30/07/2023 10:39am – Mqanduli

The client reported a break in at a clothing shop. Intruders had broken the window and fled with all the stock and the safe after damaging the alarm.
