  • 03/02/2024 03:00am – Fortgale

Alarm signals were received from a guesthouse where the response team were informed of an attempted vehicle theft.

 

  • 03/02/204 09:47am – Ikwezi Extension

An alarm activation was received from a resident and response confirmed a positive burglary.

A generator and a DVD machine had been stolen from the outbuilding.

 

  • 05/02/2024 07:31am – Vulindlela Heights

 

A burglary was reported at a garden centre the previous evening. When response went to check they were informed that intruders had shot and killed a man who lived on site and then stolen the safe.

 

 

  • 12/02/2024 08:36am – Libode

 

Signals were received from a fuel centre and the client informed. When they went to check they found intruders had gained access via the staff entrance but failed to steal anything.

 

 

  • 12/02/2024 14:28pm – Chatham Street

 

An outside security company reported a break in at a furniture store and the Protek team were dispatched to check. Intruders had gained access via the roof and stolen 14 laptops, damaging the alarm system.

 

 

  • 16/02/2024 01:04am – Madeira Street

 

Panic signals were received from a shopping centre and it was reported the shops were on fire. The Fire Brigade, SAPS and clients were contacted.

 

 

  • 17/02/2024 12:20pm – Elliot Street

 

An outside security company reported panic signals from a furniture store. On arrival, response were informed that 3 suspects had made off with 3 television sets.

 

 

  • 23/02/2024 11:18am – Vulindlela Heights

 

A client from a temple reported a burglary and the response supervisor went to check. The DB box and alarm system had been damaged and goods stolen.

 

 

  • 26/02/2024 04:40am – Sidwadwa View

 

The Principal of a school reported a burglary overnight. Intruders forced the back entrance and stole a DVR, hard drive and television set.

 

  • 26/02/2024 – York Road

 

An outside security company reported an alarm from a clothing store. Response found that intruders had cut the iron roof but had not gained access.

 

  • 27/02/2024 06:00am – Engcobo

 

Client reported their business store room which had no alarm cover had been broken into over night and their stock stolen.

 

 

  • 27/02/2024 09:37am – Vulindlela Heights

 

Client discovered a break in when they opened their business. Intruders had broken the roller door and stolen laptops, cash and equipment and damaged the alarm system.

Client reported that their gate motor had been stolen 3 days prior.

 

  • 28/02/2024 02:55am – Maqanyeni Location

 

An alarm activation was received from a residence where the client lives out of town and Protek holds the keys. Response found the kitchen door forced open but nothing had been taken.
