Incident Report December 2023

  • 02/12/2023 01:22am – Ikwezi Township

An illegal opening alarm was received from a tavern and the client was contacted. His phone was answered by his brother who reported the fatal shooting of the tavern owner by an unknown suspect.

 

  • 02/12/2023 02:45am – Mandela Park

A client reported a break in at her residence whilst she was out. An intruder entered the garage and made off with a sound system and tiles.

 

  • 02/12/2023 06:06am – Vulindlela heights

The response supervisor went to investigate a call from a retail outlet. Intruders had entered the premises via the roof and destroyed the alarm and cctv system before loading stock into 2 vehicles and fleeing.

 

  • 03/12/2023 15:10pm – Vulindlela Heights

Four truck batteries were reported stolen from the vehicles at a business. One was recovered in the vicinity by the Protek response team.

 

  • 04/12/2023 21:58pm – Southernwood

A client called to report a burglary at their residence. Response confirmed that intruders had forced the kitchen door and security gate before making off with consoles, decoders, tv, food and clothing.

 

  • 04/12/2023 09:54am – Ntlaza

A break in at a school was reported. Stationery was stolen and the alarm system was damaged.

 

  • 04/12/2023 11:44am – Corner Eagle & Oxland Street

An outside security company reported a robbery in progress at a supermarket. On arrival the response team were informed the robbery had occurred earlier in the day and the suspects had fled with cash from the till.

 

  • 05/12/2024 23:55pm – Momelezi Street

A business client called for assistance as they had been notified by their tracking company that signal was being received from one of their trucks. On arrival at the premises, the guard told them he had been tied up by 4 armed men who had attempted to steal the vehicle but failed.

 

  • 06/12/2023 23:16pm – Madeira Street

An outside security company reported multiple alarms from a clothing store. Response met the client along with SAP and discovered intruders had gained access via the roof but not stolen anything.

 

  • 07/12/2023 08:42am – Park Road

A club reported a break in during the night. Access had been gained via the roof and cash stolen from the safe.

 

  • 08/12/2023 16:23pm – Eagle Street

An outside security company reported panic signals from a clothing store. On arrival, response were informed that 3 armed men had made off with the generator.

 

  • 09/12/2023 00:55am – Viedgiesville

Armed intruders broke into the strong room of a bottle store and fled with alcohol.

 

  • 10/12/2023 10:05am – Eagle Street

A tv was stolen from a doctor’s rooms after a side window was broken.

 

  • 11/12/2023 04:24am – Mqanduli

The guard was contacted after an alarm was received from a business. He reported 2 men exiting the store and later confirmed 2 money trays had been stolen.

 

  • 11/12/2023 05:02am – Delville Road

The client reported a burglary at a club and restaurant. Intruders had gained access via the roof and tied up the guard before destroying the cctv and alarm system. Cash and alcohol was stolen.

 

  • 13/12/204 – Fort Gale

Alarm signals were received from a residence and response found that someone had attempted to steal the copper piping. The alarm had scared them off.

 

  • 14/12/2023 09:02am – Madeira Street

An outside security company reported an armed robbery in progress at a furniture store. response were informed that the manager had been tied up and stock stolen. SAPS were informed.

 

  • 15/12/2023 00:50am – Elliotdale

The manager of a business was forcibly taken from their home and made to open. Illegal opening signals were received and control contacted SAPS.

 

  • 17/12/2023 07:00am- Corana Location

A burglary was reported at a school and the response supervisor went to investigate. He found that intruders had cut the fence and robbed the attendees of a study camp of their laptops, phones, and tablets.

 

  • 17/12/2023 15:45pm – Thornhill Road

The guard of a hostel reported intruders stealing copper pipes and taps.

 

  • 18/12/2023 02:10am – Flagstaff

 

A burglary was reported at a hotel. SAPS and keyholders were informed, the intruders had fled with cigarettes and damaged the alarm system.

 

  • 20/12/2023 20:56pm – Madeira Street

A panic signal was received from an agricultural store. Response found the electrical box outside had caught alight.

 

  • 20/12/2023 – Myezo Park

Client reported an attempted break in.

 

  • 22/12/2023 22:55pm – Kalika Street

Multiple alarms were received from a liquor store and response were dispatched. They reported that 5 armed men had held up the guard and attempted to open the safe but fled when the alarm triggered.

 

  • 25/12/2023 16:09pm – Madeira Street

A burglary was reported at an agricultural store. Intruders had broken the front door and fled with cash and stock. The cctv and alarm system were damaged.

 

  • 26/12/2023 002:03am – Sutherland Street

Panic signals were received from a garage where armed robbers had stolen the entire safe. SAPS were informed.

 

  • 26/12/2023 10:21am – Mbuqe Park

A client asked for assistance as she could not get hold of her mother. On arrival at the residence the response team found the neighbours were outside waiting for them. The neighbours had entered the house and found the woman murdered in the passage. It was suspected she may have been raped. There was no sign of forced entry and no alarm signal was received.

 

  • 29/12/2023 01:48am – Madeira Street

An outside security company reported multiple panics from a furniture store. Intruders had broken the back door but did not take anything.
