An outside security company reported an armed robbery at a clothing store. 3 armed men had held up the staff and fled with cash from the tills. SAPS were informed.

A client called from a guest lodge and reported that 2 armed men had attacked and robbed the guard of his phone and gate remote. The guard was taken to hospital.

An alarm activation was received from an office and response found that intruders had forced the back door open. They had stolen some old tyres.
- 07/07/2024 09:32am – Circus Triangle
A panic signal was received from centre security. Five armed men had robbed clothing from a store.
- 10/07/2024 22:39pm – Qokolweni Location
An emergency signal was received from a store and the response team were dispatched. Intruders had gained access via the roof and stolen a tin of paint.
- 11/07/2024 11:21am – Libode
Multiple signals were received from a supermarket and the keyholder was contacted. He confirmed a robbery, armed men made off with the safe. SAPS were informed.
- 11/07/2024 13:35pm – Bridge Street
A panic signal was received from a cash and carry and the response team were dispatched. They were informed that suspects had fled with cash from the till. The panic was pressed after the robbery.
- 13/07/2024 11:11am – Excelsior Building
An outside security company reported a robbery at a shop. The manager informed response that 2 suspects had taken tv’s and music systems. SAPS were informed.
- 15/07/2024 01:31am – Flagstaff
Multiple alarms were received from a hotel. The guard manager was contacted and he reported intruders on site. The keyholder and SAPS arrived to find the intruders had forced the front door and made off with the safe.
- 15/07/2024 19:01pm – Owen Street
Panic signals were received from a supermarket and bottle store. The Protek response teams were dispatched to both shops and on arrival were informed that five armed suspects had made off with cash, stock, and staff cell phones.
- 16/07/2024 01:57am – Myezo Park
A client called to report intruders at his residence. Response found the garage open and a broken window. Nothing had been stolen.
- 19/07/2024 22:51pm – Sprigg Street
A guard at a supermarket pressed the panic when he saw a fire at a neighbouring store. SAPS and the Fire Brigade were informed.
- 20/07/2024 10:01am – Madeira Street
An outside security company called to report a robbery the previous night at a furniture store. Our response supervisor went to investigate and found the intruders had gained access via the roof and made off with cell phones and laptops.
- 20/07/2024 21:27pm – Ngangelizwe
Multiple signals were received from a residence and response were dispatched. Intruders had broken a window to gain access and made off with clothing and bedding.
- 22/07/2024 05:40am – Libode
The guard manager reported a break in at a supermarket the previous night. It was confirmed they had gained access via the roof and emptied the safe. The alarm and CCTV systems were damaged.

An outside security company reported panic signals from a clothing store. Response were dispatched and they were informed that staff had caught a shop lifter. The staff opted to handle the matter themselves.
- 25/07/2024 11:53am – Sprigg Street
Response were dispatched to a store after panic signals were received. Four armed suspects had robbed Fidelity just after they had collected cash from the store. One guard was shot and injured. SAPS were in attendance.

A delivery truck was robbed outside a builder’s store.

Client called to report a break in the previous night at battery shop. The alarm activation had deterred them.
- 29/07/2024 00:47am – Ngqeleni
Signals were received from a bottle store and the keyholders and SAPS were informed. It was reported that suspects had forced the front doors and made off with the safe and stock.
- 29/07/2024 08:42am – Kaplan Location
Panic signals were received from a school and the response team were dispatched. They reported that the pupils were striking and had hit teacher’s and vandalised the offices. SAPS were called out.
