03/02/2023 09:57am – Bridge Street

The response team were dispatched after panic signals were received from a cash and carry where an armed robbery had occurred. Cash from a till and cell phones had been stolen.

 

03/02/2023 08:02am – Mqanduli

The Principal of a school reported a break in over night and that the kitchen’s groceries were stolen.

 

05/02/2023 15:08pm – Zimbane Location

A client reported an attempted robbery at their store. Intruders had tried to force the door but had fled when the panic button was pressed.

 

06/02/2023 02:49am – Qumbu

An empty ATM was bombed at a petrol station by seven armed men. No injuries were reported and SAPS were informed.

 

06/02/2023 10:28am – Sprigg Street

Panic signals were received form a cash and carry and the Protek team responded. Two armed men had threatened the staff and fled with cash from the tills.

 

10/02/2023 08:50am – Southridge Park

A client reported a robbery at their residence. They family were opening for a domestic employee when they were overwhelmed by suspects hiding outside the gate. SAPS were informed.

 

13/02/2023 01:27am – Madeira Street

An outside security company reported multiple panics from a furniture store. The response team were dispatched to meet with the key holder who opened the store and confirmed a positive burglary with the intruders having gained access via the roof.

 

15/02/2023 10:58am – York Road

Two armed men threatened staff at a clothing store and fled with cell phones.

 

15/02/2023 17:09pm – Zimbane Valley

Signals were received from a Primary School after intruders were caught stealing copper piping and the response team were dispatched.

The Principal was on his way to a meeting so response kept the suspects in their vehicle until the Principal was available to open a case at SAPS.

 

 

16/02/2023 16:11pm – Zanemali

 

Two men were seen stealing beers from outside an off-sales. One man fled and the second man claimed not to know that the other man was stealing rather than buying the beers.

 

 

16/02/2023 17:33pm – Ngebs Mall

 

Response reacted to a panic signal and control received a call from the mall’s security room reporting suspects were breaking into a customer’s vehicle. Two of the three suspects were apprehended.

 

 

18/02/2023 19:19pm – Circus Triangle

 

The Protek team met with the key holder after control received multiple signals from a retail store.

On opening the store, an intruder was caught with bag full of cell phones. He was handed over to SAPS.

 

 

20/02/2023 02:21 am York Road

 

An alarm activation was received from an office building after the attempted theft of copper piping.

 

 

21/02/2023 00:50am – Delville Road

 

Signals were received and the client also called to report a break in at a sports club. The response team attended.

 

 

21/02/2023 13:32pm – Eagle Street

 

A courier was robbed of packages in front of a Law office.

 

 

26/02/2023 09:19am – Madeira Street

 

Signals were received from a Law office and the Protek Team were dispatched. They confirmed that intruders had damaged the gate motor and gained access to the building, stealing a laptop, bags, and copper piping.

 

 

26/02/2023 21:24pm – Ikwezi Township

 

Control received an anonymous call that a technical school was on fire. Response were dispatched and the client, SAPS and Fire Brigade informed. Students assisted in extinguishing the fire.

 

 

26/02/23 23:11pm – Southridge Park

 

Response were sent to a residence where an armed robbery had been reported. It was confirmed that a lap top and two cell phones had been taken.

 

 

27/02/2023 07:31am – Zanemali Road

 

A client called to report a tyre had been stolen from a vehicle parked in the yard. No access had been gained to the building.

 

 

28/02/2023 02:17am – Ikwezi Township

 

Panic signals were received from a Senior Secondary School and on arrival, response reported the building was on fire. SAPS, Fire brigade and the clients were contacted and the fire extinguished.
