Incident report – December 2022

 

  • 01/12/2022 02:13am – Hillcrest Extension

A client reported hearing a noise outside her residence and the response team were dispatched.

It was discovered that 25lt of paint had been stolen from the property.

 

 

  • 01/12/2022 11:41am – Mthatha Plaza

 

Armed men robbed customers at a fast-food outlet of their money and phones. No injuries were reported.

 

  • 04/12/2022 23:58pm – Nelson Mandela Drive

 

Two men filled their vehicle at a fuel station and when their card declined, they pointed a gun at the attendant and drove away.

 

 

  • 05/12/2022 12:20pm – Tsolo

 

The client called to report a robbery in progress at a bottle store. Control contacted SAPS who were already onsite. It was confirmed that money had been taken from the tills and from customers.

 

 

  • 05/12/2022 16:09pm – Eagle Street

 

An outside security company reported receiving multiple panic signals from a business. Our team responded and reported that five suspects had stolen televisions.

 

 

  • 14/12/2022 07:10am – Southernwood

 

Client reported a burglary at a supermarket. The intruders had gained access via the roof.

 

 

  • 15/12/2022 18:58pm – King Edward Road

 

A shop lifter was caught at a cash and carry and handed over to SAPS.

 

 

  • 19/12/2022 02:22am – Butterworth

 

Multiple signals were received from a bottle store. We contacted the guards, keyholder and SAPS.

It was confirmed that intruders had gained access via the roof.

 

 

 

 

 

  • 20/12/2022 03:38am – Ikwezi Extension

 

A client called for response as intruders were stealing her gate. On arrival the team found the gate missing and searched the area. They were able to recover a section of it.

 

 

  • 22/12/22 05:55am – Ngebs Mall

 

Client reported noticing a break in by the generator. The fuel had been syphoned out.

 

 

  • 23/12/22 10:04am – Mthatha Plaza

 

Multiple panic signals were received from various stores. The Protek team responded and were informed there had been a robbery at a casino. The suspects were caught and handed over to SAPS.

 

 

  • 23/12/2022 – Ncambedlana

 

A client reported a break in at his residence and the response team were dispatched. They confirmed a burglary from the back flats where there is no alarm cover.

 

 

  • 25/12/2022 22:09pm – Ikwezi Extension

 

A car filled up with fuel at a garage and drove off without paying.

 

 

  • 29/12/2022 22:35pm – Viedgiesville

 

A guard called from a bottle store requesting back up for a break in that was in progress. SAPS were informed and attended.
